NVIDIA has launched Project DIGITS, a compact AI supercomputer designed to bring powerful AI capabilities directly to individual researchers, data scientists, and students. The project features the NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, which offers a petaflop of AI computing performance and allows users to develop, fine-tune, and run large AI models efficiently using standard desktop systems. This initiative aims to democratize access to advanced AI tools, enabling seamless deployment of models from local systems to cloud or data center infrastructures. Designed in collaboration with MediaTek, the GB10 Superchip is noted for its power efficiency and high performance, accommodating AI innovation with models as large as 200 billion parameters. Project DIGITS is set to be available for purchase starting May, signifying a significant step toward mainstream AI integration across industries.
