Honda Motor and Nissan Motor said they were considering a merger or other partnership Wednesday, in a sign the Japanese car makers could be fretting that Donald Trump’s imminent return to the White House might hit their bottom lines. The auto industry heavyweights said Wednesday that they were “considering various possibilities for future collaboration,” but added that a final decision hadn’t yet been made. Honda’s American depositary receipts slipped 3.1% in Wednesday’s premarket.
